The United States is the envy of the world because of our immigrant society and our history of being a "Melting Pot".  There has always been mechanism to support this and now it seems to be lacking.    Immigrants that are here illegally need to be made citizens and allowed to work and join in society as normal Americans instead of obtaining illegal marriages and becoming criminal just because the system isn’t there to support them.  Additionally, I feel that it is important to help people who wish to be Americans learn the language and the history of the nation.  This has always been the tradition and needs to be re-emphasized.  Giving our good jobs to Non Americans who do not have a specific talent or skill that is not obtainable by an American is ridiculous.  I recently met a young woman here on a working visa as a wine salesperson!  I think that there are plenty of Americans capable of this job or being trained for it.  On top of this she couldn’t stop bad mouthing the country!  A little bit more America for the Americans and somewhat more closed boarders is my position.  The pledge of allegiance may not be the worst thing to bring back into schools either.  It didn’t bother me and I feel that during these trying times it may help foster a more clear identity in our country county for our young people as being American.  National Pride and Identity.
