Ending The
War in Iraq and Global Warming Regarding the war in Iraq; war, unfortunately, is part of the human condition and needs to be managed... perhaps better. I feel that it is imperative that we withdraw our military immediately, if not sooner. However, we must leave behind a strong industrial component to help rebuild this nation to the best of its ability. It is not fair, humane or right to just leave the situation in ruins. There is also a larger looming issue prevailing concerning Global Warming that will kill millions worldwide as Al Gore has perfectly communicated in his documentary on the subject. By generating vast amounts of power in Afghanistan and Iraq through Nuclear Power plants as an alternative to fossil fuels, we could alleviate global warming. By constructing these facilities along with a means of global distribution to give these nearly destroyed nations the commerce to rebuild their infrastructure and support the fledgling governments and economies, much could be achieved. Everyone would benefit and it could add stability to this region. After all, if this is an energy source it would be like the sun, and who would destroy that? Although this is in essence what we have done inadvertently through the pollution caused by burning fossil fuels for centuries. For certain if there is no change there will be global flooding and immeasurable tragedy. Who do you think will perish first if the world floods, rich people? Do you think that it was rich people who died in Katrina? It wasn’t a racial issue that so many Black People perished in this tragedy so much it was economic. Technology to help prevent this type of death toll in natural and manmade situations is available and has begun to be developed by my company NYCCG New York City Consulting Group and is open source and free.
